Pay a visit to Fort Drum Senator

Fort Drum welcomed back to the special Guest on Friday, when the US parent Kirsten Gillibrand paid an official visit to New York City, the North Country.
His visit was to meet with Soldiers as they prepare to leave for military operations in Afghanistan and see what he can do their representation in the Senate of the United States.
Fort Drum at the same time, the Senator was major-General General James l. Terry, 10th Mountain Division (LI) and the Office of the Commander of the Fort drum.

Gillibrand spoke of what facts before leaving Fort Drum, he discussed the Soldiers and what he can do to support them, as they use abroad.
"It was great meeting," said Gillibrand. "My aim was to listen to the meeting for men and women who are about to introduce its Afghanistan and they talk about some problems, they are to be the face and some of those concerns.
"It is no surprise, we spoke to economy, the labour market, and (it) not just now created only a very limited number of jobs, and how people are really struggling," he continued. "We talked about affordable housing needs, and how when the troops come back home again, there will be a huge need for affordable housing.
"And we talked about family life and of their families when they are turned on," he adds. "We discussed what is in the same way as military family and type of support which need me. "
He also mentioned some of the family was a problem and the Soldiers what can we do better the life of the members of the family.
"Also, we talked about things that can help improve their lives," said Gillibrand. "We spoke a little early childhood education, day care, access to good schools and we are working for all things are. "
Senator, also to mention he is working to help these Soldiers, who served as Afghanistan and Iraq, who returns to the conversion of the Senate soon.
"We are in the labour market, and my concern is that one out of five young veterans come from back to Iraq and Afghanistan is unemployed right now," he adds. "So I am focused on right now the invoices are each employer who hires young veteran tax. "

"I am very grateful to all of the service, for their sacrifices in their courage, and that I am here is to sound," said Gillibrand. "They need to know that I am not only speech and their representatives in Washington, but that I will fight their fight so hard on them and as they fight with us one day. "
